Jerry is the District 4 Commander and Star Valley Post 4797 Commander.  He was born and raised in Star Valley and his great uncle was the original commander for post 4797 when it was organized. 

He is a US Navy veteran (ET2/SS) serving 4 years on the fast-attack submarine USS CAVALLA (SSN-684) as a Reactor Operator based out of Pearl Harbor during the Cold War and the first Gulf War. He earned the Navy/Marine Corp Expeditionary Medal on a Spec Op during WestPac ‘91.  He is a "nuclear engineer” and project manager by trade and is employed by TerraPower at the Kemmerer Sodium-Cooled Fast Reactor (SFR). He has worked in China building Westinghouse AP-1000s (PWR), at NuScale Power preparing to build their VOYGR (SMR), at various National Laboratories, and for the contractors supporting the US Army’s destruction of the nation’s Chemical Weapons stockpiles (WMDs). He is married and has 4 children and 12 grandchildren.
