I did almost seven years in the Army as a 92A Automated Logistical Specialist. My first duty station was Fort Bliss, TX where I worked in the motorpool for a Patriot Missile Battery. I deployed with this unit to Saudi Arabia in 2001 and was there on 9/11. I reenlisted to go to Korea and was stationed at Camp Hovey as a Shop Office clerk while there. My final duty station was Fort Lewis, WA where I was a motorpool clerk for a transportation unit. During my service I earned an Army Commendation Medal, three Army Achievement Medals, the Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Korean Defense Service Medal, the Army Service Ribbon and the Overseas Service Ribbon.
I started taking online classes while stationed at Fort Lewis and once I got out, I used the GI Bill to help pay for a Master of Arts in Management and Leadership from Liberty University, a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Business and Religion from Liberty University and an Associates of Arts from Pierce College.
Once I left the Army, I returned to Gillette and went to work as a warehouse technician in the local coal mines. After more years then I care to count at several different mines, I moved into my current position as a Warranty Specialist at North Antelope Rochelle Mine.
